There are a number of school systems within the Twin Lakes Area.
The Mountain Home School District is the largest with its Kindergarten
Center, Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary School, Guy Berry Intermediate
School, Pinkston Middle School, Mountain Home Junior High School and the
Mountain Home School.
Also, in the Twin Lakes Area are the Cotter School District, Flippin School District, Norfork School District, Yellville School District. There are a number of private pre-schools and the North Central Christian Schools International (ASCI) based in Colorado Springs. It has an enrollment near 100 in K-12. The Twin Lakes Area is most fortunate to have a two-year institution affiliated with the Arkansas State University, ASUMH. It is not only for local graduates from the area high schools, but many courses are open and some specifically designed for adults in the area. It also offers some graduate level classes coordinated with the parent school in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
