Blanchard Springs Caverns

Part of Ozark-St. Francis National Forests, US Forest Service
One of this country's most beautiful caves, a must see

Check out the slide shows, pictures, videos, and information below.

Blanchard Springs Caverns is located in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests and is managed by the United States Forest Service. The caverns are some of the best in the country with two tours to pick from. You will not be disappointed in either tour. The park is not far from the Ozark Folk Center State Park and the city of Mountain View. If you are in the area, all these attractions are worth taking in. When visiting the caverns, you need to take time to go to the Blanchard Springs waterfall by taking the trail leading back to this spectacular site. It is only a short, easy walk and well worth you effort. If you need a campsite or motel room while visiting the caverns, there are several to coose from in the city of Mountain View nearby.

For more information about the park, Click Here for the government website. Also, the Caverns Website offers some pictures of the cave tours so take a look at it as well.

One family's trip to Blanchard Springs Caverns in this video done by Pixel Ninjaz shows the highlights at the park and in the surrounding area. This video takes about 3 1/2 minutes to view.
The pictures below show the trail to the falls that come from the caverns and a picture from the cave.

During the Christmas Season, the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce puts on a special program, Caroling in the Caverns. Local musicians take part in the musical presentation. Here is a 3 minute video done by Gypsynester to give you the flavor of this program, which is well attended.

Above Dick takes a break on the trail to the falls. Below our truck and camper sits on the bridge near the falls.
