Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area
Great hiking trails and a must see for the naturalist

Hobbs State Park has a visitor center that you must see. The park's 12,056-acre tract, the largest acreage of all the state parks, preserves the natural areas of the Ozark Mountains. The visitor center uses mostly native natural materials, and wildflowers are planted around this center. Also, the visitor center is an educational facility as well as a tourist center. The park has several hiking, biking, horseback riding trails throughout the park from the easy 1/2 mile barrier-free Historic Van Winkle Trail to a 24 mile multi-use trail. Although there are no cabins or camping facilities at Hobbs, there is camping at several Corps of Engineers Parks on Beaver Lake near the state park and there is the city of Rogers, Arkansas, which is only 10 miles from the park where other accommodations can be found. While in the area of this park you may want to visit the old War Eagle Mill nearby the Hobbs park and the Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park south and east of the town of Rogers.

Highway 12 from Rogers runs right through the Hobbs park. There is a sign along the highway that guides you back to the Visitor Center.
The Visitor Center has a map showing all six of the regions in Arkansas. The displays inside are outstanding and the nature gardens outside are full of wildflowers.
