Lake Dardanelle State Park

A lovely wooded park located almost right in the town of Russellville, Arkansas

Check out the slide shows, pictures, videos, and information below.

Nestled in a wooded area along the shores of Lake Dardanelle, formed from a branch of the Arkansas River, is this lovely state park next to the cities of Russellville and Dardanelle. There are two areas for camping, but most of the activities and sites are in the main area near Russellville. This main part of the park hosts a world class facility for fishing tournaments. There is also a barrier free pier for fishing and lies in the shadow of the 1,350 foot Mount Nebo. The Visitor Center is large and houses an aquatic display and fantastic informational displays. There is an easily negotiated trail for hiking and biking for those who like to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the woods. The camping area is rather tight in section C, but A and D are okay. Section D is not on the lake, but you can see it from its hilltop location. If you want to stay in a motel while visiting the park, look for one in Russellville.

While visiting Lake Dardanelle State Park, take some time to visit Mount Nebo State Park, which is almost next door to this park. If you have several day in the area, you might want to take some time to go to Petit Jean State Park, which is not too far away.

For more information, check out the Arkansas State Parks website.
