Dramatic scenery of valleys, mountains, and spectacular vistas awaits anyone who visits Mount Magazine State Park. This park hosts the highest peak in the state at 2,753 feet. This park is located in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. A large lodge is the focal point for the park from which the natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains can be seen for miles. The lodge has an excellent restaurant, which I highly recommend you to visit. There are many trails offering a variety of experiences from hiking or biking to mountain climbing. Be sure to stop at the lookout points along the road to and from the park.

If you are a camper, you will love the campground. The sites are roomy and shaded. If you don't camp and cannot get into the lodge at the park, check accommodations in Paris, Clarksville, or Russellville, Arkansas.

The lodge overlooks the Blue Mountain Lake Valley. It has conference rooms and is the focal point of the park.

However, you have to set the video at the 9:37 minute marker. It follows a segment about Underwater Arkansas. It last for 8 minutes, after which is a segment about a ranch that was in northern Arkansas.
