White Oak Lake State Park

Nice area for water sports and nice facilities for a getaway

Check out the slide shows, pictures, videos, and information below.

The White Oak Lake State Park is adjacent to Poison Springs State Forest and on Lower White Oak Lake. This pine forested area has hiking trails and 10 miles of bicycle trails to enjoy. People who come here can camp, fish, watch birds, or just enjoy the serenity of the park. When we visited in the spring of 2015, there was a reenactment event going on with British and French troops from the pre-revolutionary war period. This Annual French Colonial Days and other events are staged at this park. The park campgrounds are exceptionally nice, but if you want a motel to stay in while visiting this park, check out facilities in Hope, Arkansas.

French Colonial Days Event

This park is located very close to Bluff City, Arkansas, on a beautiful lake. The lake was drained in 2014 so the fishing should be producing fairly well by this year.

The Campgrounds are nice and most sites are on the lake or have a view of the lake. There is a nice marina and supply store at the visitor center.

View of the lake from Beech Trail hiking path.

These 22 pictures were taken at the reenactment that we attended in 2015.

This video is done by Exploring Arkansas, May 2007. Although the whole video is 25:41 minutes, if you set the time marker at 8:12 minutes, you can watch the segment on White Oak State Park for 9 minutes only. The beginning segment is about a Quartz Mine near Hot Springs and the final segment is about Crowley Ridge State Park.
